If an artist makes me cry, they’ve done their job and done it well! The feature pic for this post was taken during Beth Hart’s show at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville on April 27, 2019 where aforementioned tears occurred. This lady is the the real deal people. She’s been through some serious sh!t, and lived to tell about it with such insight and intensity.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen, or felt, another artist make themselves as vulnerable and available to their fans as she did. She talks to the crowd about some of the stories behind her songs, and when I saw her back in 2019, she walked to the stage from the lobby area and stopped to take pics with and hug folks. She was bare footed:)
One of the songs that made me cry when I saw her was Tell ‘Em to Hold On. She is very upfront and open about her life and what’s she’s been through to get where she is now – able to produce music like this. Most of us know at least one person who is struggling with mental health issues. You may be struggling yourself, especially right now. I struggle a lot these days, at least at some point throughout the day. HOLD ON EVERYBODY! And head over to our HELP page to see if there are Resources that might be of service to you.
Universe permitting, I’ll be seeing her again (hee, hee, heeeeeee:) on February 16, 2022 at the Ryman. Me and the Ryman have been trying to get together for a while now, so I’m hoping it all works out;) When I saw Beth Hart the first time, it had been rescheduled. This is the second time this show has been rescheduled. She was, and is, totally worth the wait. If you’d like to see for yourself, here’s a link for tickets to her show in Nashville. Or just Google to see if she’ll be performing near you!
