I developed a pretty intense appreciation for Motown and R&B early on, and am pretty sure when I was born, 1968, and where and how I grew up – pretty poor in a mostly black neighborhood – had something to do with that. Nineteen sixty-eight was a VERY good year for music in general, and Motown put out some of the best music ever made IMO during this era!

This song came out the same year as I did, but the car in the pic above came out a couple of years later. That’s me in a 1970 GTO I had back in the early nineties. Grrrrrr! Love me some old American muscle cars:) The music AND the cars back then were AWESOME! I hadn’t been turned on the likes of Ms. James back when I had my Goat, but if I had, I could totally see myself rocking out to this tune while cruising around:) RIP Ms. James!
