It’s scary in a good way how accurate YouTube has been lately at recommending songs they think I’ll like. This cover of Beyonce’s Crazy in Love by Daniela Andrade has me mesmerized:) You’ll be seeing more of her videos elsewhere on the site!

According to my internet research, she’s from Montreal, Quebec; spent her childhood in Edmonton, Alberta; moved to Toronto, Ontario briefly; then back home to Quebec. I’ve never been to any of those Canadian provinces, but I did make a day-trip to Victoria, British Columbia a while back and fell in love with the city. There’s my segue from this song to the attached picture:)

The picture you see above is at Butchart Gardens in Victoria, BC. The bus tour I took there wound through beautiful mountainous terrain, had a hilarious sight-seeing host, and ended up at one of the most memorable places I’ve ever been – Butchart Gardens. It’s very hard to believe this used to be a rock quarry! It’s a perfect example of human ingenuity coupled with a great love for the beauty nature provides us:)
