Back in 1994, I spent the summer in London while participating in the Work Abroad Program through my local university. It took that trip, and an Italian guy from Pavia, to turn me onto Stevie Ray Vaughan! Shameful, I know, that a southern American girl wasn’t yet versed in SRV!! He sent me a cassette tape mix while he was in Italy wrapping up some work, and I was in London awaiting his return doing temp office work. It had this song and many others I still love and listen to to this day. He drew this picture of me, making reference to a song he liked by SRV called White Boots. Don’t ask about the cow…
