Happy Halloween Everybody😊 Thought I should use this day to point out the fear people on both sides of the political spectrum are feeling in these days leading up to what is the most consequential election of my lifetime. Even though my site has been live a while, this is the first post I’ve used to actually market my site, so I guess you could call this my soft launch. You can also call me scared as hades!!!

I lean left, but am moderate on some things. I have already cast my vote for Harris/Walz – the ticket I believe will work across the aisles to help achieve what is best for our country and both present and future generations. I’ve been talking to and really trying to hear people on the right, and they fear some of the same things folks on the left fear. IMO it’s because their chosen leader has misled them through the use of obfuscation and gaslighting. From what I’ve seen with my own eyes and heard with my own ears, he lies, gropes, abuses women, abuses his power, calls our POWs and wounded vets losers (my father served in Korea so this really gets my goat), makes fun of handicapped people, he cozies up to dictators and has professed to being one on day one. He calls those who oppose him the Enemy Within and threatened to call in the National Guard or military if the “radical left lunatics” disrupt the election. Pot meet Kettle! He threatens to shut down anyone who opposes him, including potentially this site I’ve put SO MUCH time and A LOT of tears into. To me, HE IS SCARIEST HALLOWEEN ABERRATION EVER:(

He’s obviously put fear of financial retaliation into some rich, powerful men who own some very large media outlets (amongst other things). It appears Elon Musk, Owner of X, and in the interest of profit, is now in Trump’s pocket and vice versa. Talk about people who change their stances. I’m pretty pissed and very disappointed that the owner of a newspaper whose tagline is, Democracy Dies in Darkness, prevented his editorial staff from publishing a Harris/Walz endorsement. Less than two weeks from the election he and LA Times dude decide this. Right.

Having said all of that, please try to have some fun tonight and be kind to each other. Remember, folks on the right are scared too, and they have some valid reasons for having their perspectives too. I hope though they will see before it’s too late that with Trump/Vance their opinion had better always be in lock step with Trump’s because personally, I believe a lot of people who know him, and are in or were in senior military positions, people who worked in his former administration and more and more Republicans who are saying he has fascist tendencies or fits the description of one. One definition I found (and there are MANY), is that you can just replace the word fascist with bully. I think that more than applies to Trump. He will turn on you too, just as he has turned on American democracy IMO.
